I built this crevice garden last year, but never posted on it. It certainly isn’t easy to photograph, maybe that’s why!
I’ve also killed most of the original cacti. I have barrel cactus, prickly pear, and mangave remaining. I’ve also replaced many of the dead cacti with agave pups that I’ve dug up from around the yard.
I’ve never heard if a crevice garden. Is it a type of rock garden?
Yep, you put the rocks in vertically instead of horizontally and add cactus or other plants. There was one in Portland, the one with all black rocks.
I like this idea and seems pretty easy to replicate on our western facing rock slope. 🙂 Is this your own creation or did you read about someone else’s?
Found it on other blogs, then read about it online. Not my creation, but glad to replicate it
