Pathways have a way of showcasing the personality of the garden and it’s owner. The ones at this year’s Fling in DC/Virginia/Maryland were no exception.

One of these days I’ll figure out how to add these to my own garden!
I see you’re like me – always taking pictures of paths and paving. Lots of great ideas here, Laura!
Yes, tons of inspiration!
I missed some of those paths! I guess you’ve gotta look at your feet while you’re walking, too.
There’s a ton I missed too. You have an extra excuse with that walking boot! 🙂
I love that pathway through the water. Only way to have that in our garden would be through the pool…not the best plan. We’re in the middle of adding concrete pathways. Great inspiration! We need to add some character to ours.
Yep, no pond here either – only a pool. New pathways sound exciting. I love adding hardscape to the garden.
I love seeing all the pathways pulled together in your post. Inspiration, for sure.
Thanks! There was so much to see in the gardens this year.
That wood-round path was particularly cool, I thought. Great captures — and Cat-ture!
Yes, my mother-in-law loved it too and tried to convince my husband to make her one. I don’t think she quite realizes how difficult (and dangerous) that would be!
I loved that path made of wood slices in Debbie Friedman’s garden. It had me kicking myself that I didn’t hang on to the trunks of 2 trees an irritating (now former) neighbor pressed us to remove with claims that the trees blocked her view. Of course, my husband probably dodged a bullet there as I won’t be hounding him to cut up those tree trunks into usable pieces. It was good to meet you at the DC fling, Laura!
Definitely a great idea, but I’m sure it’s not as easy as it looks! Bummer about your neighbor, and then to turn around and move – the nerve. It was great meeting you too 🙂
